Sustainability

Below you will find an overview of our production partner's certifications for sustainability and social responsibilities.

Global Organic Textile Standard

GOTS certified products are the guarantee that our products are produced from organic cotton and that they are produced in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. This concerns the entire chain from the cotton field to delivery. This certification must be renewed every year.

GOTS: working conditions, organic matter, environmental considerations, greenhouse gas reduction, textile sustainability and human health.

Please note that if GOTS certified products are customized with printing and/or embroidery, the products are no longer certified. GOTS certification only applies to products without printing and/or embroidery.

Organic Content Standard

Translation resultThe Organic Content Standard (OCS) checks the presence and quantity of organic material, such as organic cotton, in the end product and the route that raw materials take from source to end product. The standard does not cover the certification of the raw material itself. It must comply with the organic production regulations of the country in question. The OCS requires that all organizations in the production chain, from the processor of the raw material to the last selling party, are OCS certified.

The certification checks the presence and quantity of organic material, such as organic cotton, in the end product and the route that raw materials take from source to end product.

The label is a derivative of the OCS label, intended for the sustainable labeling of articles consisting of a mixed fiber, part of which consists of organic cotton. This percentage is often supplemented with a percentage of polyester because of its favorable properties.

Please note that if OCS certified products are customized with printing and/or embroidery, the products are no longer certified. OCS certification only applies to products without printing and/or embroidery.

Business social compliance initiative

As a member of BSCI, we are affiliated with a common Code of Conduct: a common set of rules with specific requirements for the conditions in the factories where the products are produced. In Amfori BSCI there are 11 principles of ethical and socially responsible business behavior.

Requirements are imposed, among other things, on the protection of the environment, whereby child labor, forced labor, corruption and discrimination are prohibited. There must be safe working conditions, reasonable working hours and workers must have the right to organize in trade unions.

OEKO-TEX

If a textile article carries the STANDARD 100 label, every part of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and the article is therefore harmless to human health. The test is carried out by our independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes based on our extensive OEKO-TEX®
